What bizarre tale left these behind I wonder, mid pavement?
1st March 2009

This is one I took myself.
Pulled over to buy a hotdog in New York & there it was!
You'd have thought the burly chap wearing these might have noticed it missing?

My wyfe1 Rachel has good luck on her walks with the dogs through the wooded areas locally. I really do wonder why people would lose one shoe (or boot) and not notice when they're tramping through the woods!
Interesting walkers boot

Other abandoned objects...

Of course shoes are not the only thing you'll spot laying about wherever they are deposited gracelessly... here are two items spotted by both my wyfe1 Rachel (school jumper) and myself (the brolly). I'll bet there was a cross mom when the loss of this was finally noticed.

I spotted this sad mini umbrella out of the car window one day, quick thinking and reactions caught the shot on my camera phone!

Guest Photographer: Nikki

Amazing what you see when you're in a railway station. Funny, the 'pink child's shoe' syndrome seems quite popular... I wonder if all the little girls are secretly throwing them away, tossing them over their little toddler shoulders whilst their parents aren't watching, rebelling against the pink shoe oppression perhaps? :-)

The delectable Nikki can be found on her own blog Purple Kitchen.

Guest Photographer: Loops

Loops is affecionately known as my bro'. Coming home from work one evening he espied this smashing little bedraggled pink thing for us. Poor cold child's tootsies!

Do keep a look out and send me your pictures folks!

Motorway Services: riding/wellington boot: DK - 26/09/08

On the journey back from our holiday at MsDemmie's (The Edge, Devon) we stopped at a motorway services, and look what was looking all sorry for itself (though amazingly bright and shiny for an abandoned boot!). Didn't go too close as it was cold and dark... but do you think someone might just have missed this beauty perhaps?
